ICES is a peer-reviewed yearly conference on engineering, science, and environmental research. It publishes both theoretical and experimental high-quality papers of permanent interest, not previously published in journals, in the field of engineering and science, This conference features the addition of topics related to petroleum engineering techniques, including extraction, drilling, and refining.

About the Technical Institute of Al-Samawah

Conference Organizer

The Samawah Technical Institute is one of the formations of Al-Furat Al-Awsat Technical University, which was established in 1989. Throughout its academic career, thousands of intermediate cadres have graduated from it, providing the manufacturing sector with professional and technical expertise in technological, medical and administrative specializations. The series of innovations continues until this year, as studies were opened in the oil departments and two technical branches. This conference is considered the fourth edition of the Samawah International Technical Institute series of conferences, which it has been holding periodically since 2018 until this year.

Submission Information 

  • Articles submitted to the conference should meet these criteria and must not be under consideration for publication elsewhere. We firmly believe that ethical conduct is the most essential virtual of any academic. Hence any act of plagiarism is a totally unacceptable academic misconduct and cannot be tolerated. If an author is found to commit an act of plagiarism, the following acts of sanction will be taken:

1) Reject the submitted article or delete the article from the final publications.

2) Report the authors violation to his/her supervisor(s) and affiliated institution(s).

3) Report the authors violation to the appropriate overseeing office of academic ethics and research funding agency.

4) Reserve the right to publish the authors name(s), the title of the article, the name(s) of the affiliated institution and the details of misconduct, etc. of the plagiarist.

Ethics Guidelines

Conference Proceedings uses author-prepared PDFs for all published content and will not send out author proofs prior to publication. Therefore, it is important to ensure that all manuscripts are submitted in their final form and that all fonts are embedded. Publisher author template packages contain comprehensive advice and guidelines for authors—including a ‘Do’s and Don’ts’ checklist—all papers must be prepared by these guidelines. Peer Review Process

The ICES conference employs a double-blind review process for papers submitted for consideration. All papers are initially checked for similarity using the Turnitin Plagiarism Software. Only articles that pass the plagiarism check will be forwarded to 2–3 reviewers, who will rate them based on specific reports, as determined by the Scientific Committee members. Includes important questions that are used by many publishers to rate the papers that are submitted to them based on our reviewers’ reporting forms and decisions, and the editor decides whether the paper is either accepted, accepted with a minor or major review, or rejected.

Registration Process

All papers are initially checked for similarity by the Turnitin Plagiarism Software, and all articles that pass the plagiarism checking will be submitted through the Scientific Committee members to 2–3 reviewers for rating based on specific reports Including important questions that are used by many publishers to rate the papers that are submitted to them based on our reviewers’ reporting forms and decisions, and the editor decides whether the paper is either accepted, accepted with a minor or major review, or rejected. Following the conference, all papers will pass through the DOUBLE-BLIND PEER REVIEW process. After the review process, which usually takes up to two weeks, you will get feedback from our reviewers. In case of positive feedback, you will get further registration instructions via e-mail.   • The ICES Conference follows strict anti-plagiarism policies and, as such, checks every submission for plagiarism using Crossref Similarity Check Powered by Turnitin. All articles submitted to the conference first undergo a plagiarism check before being sent to our scientific committee for review. The submission will be automatically rejected at any time if found plagiarized.
